Duties: The Birth to 3 Teacher provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and/or disabilities. The Birth to 3 Teacher works in coordination with other service providers (e.g., speech language pathologist) as the primary service provider. The goal of the primary service provider is to build upon family strengths by providing supports, resources, and services that enhance the development of their children through everyday learning opportunities.
Qualifications: Washington State teaching certificate is required. Bachelor Degree related to early intervention/early childhood special education is required. Two years of experience in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and/or disabilities and their families is required. Masters Degree in early intervention/early childhood special education is preferred.
