Duties: A Children's Center for the Visually Impaired Early Intervention Program (EIP) Teacher make home visits and prepares appropriate activities and interventions; manages the caseload; assists in preparation of and administration of Individualized Family Service Plans; assists with functional vision evaluations; provides continuing parent education; participates in EIP staffings, staff meetings and in-services.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education and/or certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is preferred. Other degrees, including Child/Human Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood may be considered when combined with at least one year of documented experience working with young children (birth to age 5) with disabilities.
