Instructor for the B/VI
Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind
Gooding, ID
Duties: Assess students with visual impairments (birth through 21); develop and implement IFSP’s and IEP’s; provide direct instruction in Braille; assess low vision students and other areas in expanded curriculum; instruct students in use of assistive technology; provide consultative services to families of children with visual impairments. On-campus teaching position includes instruction in core academic areas.
Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired; Certification in Orientation and Mobility or willingness to obtain; Proficiency in Braille Code and Technology; Bachelor’s degree acceptable – Master’s degree preferred.
Additional Information: Salary - Commensurate with education and experience.
