Teacher for Students with Visual Impairments/ O&M Specialist

Duties: Provide direct & indirect services to students who are VI within our district. Assessments (LMA, FVA, O&M), develop & carry out IEP goals/objectives/quarter reports, work as a team member in a variety of school environments, Child Find team member/assessments. Instruction/carryover in ADL, O&M, adaptive devices, low vision devices, Braille reading/writing, special programming for students with multiple impairments.
Qualifications: Colorado certification as a Teacher for Students with Visual Impairments & ACVREP Certifiable as an O&M Specialist. Colorado Braille Competency Examination within of 1 year of hire date.
Additional Information: New graduates from accrediated university programs welcome. Program located in the Southeast Denver metropolitan area.
