Special Education Teacher/ESOL Teacher
South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind

Duties: Collaborate with classroom teacher with the development of ESOL goals for the IEP and accomodations/modifications and startegies to achieve the goals. Develop, implement, and evaluate lessons based on Long Range Plan, IEP goals and SC Curriculum standards for the special education classroom assigned.

Qualifications: Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education - Deaf/HH, VI, or closely related and must also be certified by South Carolina State Department of Education in the area of English as a Second Language (ESOL). Must has knowledge of current theory and practice in the area of Special Education and English as a Second Language with an awareness of the cultures and the educational effects of these cultures on limited English speaking students.
