Orientation & Mobility Instructor (or dually-trained O&M/TVI)
Bethel Foster Home for Blind Children

Duties: Bethel Foundation is looking for two motivated and adventurous O&M instructors who would like to join our O&M team in China. Evaluate and teach O&M to children who are visually impaired and orphaned, ages 0-21. Equip students for maximum independence within their home, school, and community. Be a part of an outreach team to do trainings for parents of VI children as well as orphanage workers from around China. Help develop resource materials for parents, orphanages, and foster homes around China
Qualifications: B.A. or M.Ed. in O&M from an accredited school.
Additional Information: Chinese language is not a prerequisite, but it would be beneficial for you to learn some basic conversational Chinese after coming. Most of our older children speak English and the younger ones we want to learn English. If you have a dual background in O&M and TVI, there are definitely opportunities to use your TVI skills.
