                        Please Help Support NAPVI

NAPVI is the only independent, non-profit, parent support group directed entirely by
parents of children with visual impairements. NAPVI has been a resource for thousands
    of families by:

--Providing a toll-free line to answer individual requests for information, support, & services
for parents, teachers, students and doctors
--Distributing 12,000 copies of AWARENESS magazine to families and professionals
--Providing lectures on education of students with visual impairments to parents and
      professionals throughout the country
--Being a legislative advocate in D.C. for all students with visual impairments by successfully
lobbying to maintain their rights in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
--Outreaching to over 50,000 households with opportunities to acquire resources, to receive
information, and to meet other families
--Maintaining a website with national and local conference and workshop information and
information on addtional resources for parents and families
--Giving consultative and financial support to twenty state affiliate parent support groups

As a non-profit (501(c)3) organization, NAPVI receives much of its funding from our
    members through their generous donations.

The donations NAPVI receives go directly to help other parents and families.
Together, we can help more parents and families through the firestorm that begins
when they learn that their child is blind, visually impaired, or has an eye disease. Your
contribution helps in so many ways:

bullet$1,000 provides a scholarship for a family to attend a national conference
bullet$500 sends a child to a special summer or holiday camp
bullet$250 sponsors a parent to attend a regional conference
bullet$100 provides a complete set of NAPVI publications for a family that cannot afford them
bullet$25 provides an annual membership in NAPVI for a family that needs our help

Margaret Meade said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can
change the world. Indeed...it is the only that ever has." NAPVI began in the hearts and
minds of a few parents almost 25 years ago. We are volunteers working together to help
others with whom we may only have one thing in common: our children are visually impaired.
We are all served by sharing stories and finding out that we are not alone.

Your generosity will make a great difference. Thank you.
