The Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) is looking for teachers of the visually handicapped to act as literary braille subject matter experts. You will be participating in the validation study of the National Literary Braille Competency Test (given by the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Library of Congress). To be eligible, you must meet the following three criteria:
United States citizen or resident
Knowledgeable in literary braille
Three or more years experience as a teacher of the visually handicapped in one of the
following settings: residential, itinerant, or rehabilitation.
You will attend one or two workshops, each lasting one day. The first workshops will be in December and January. If air travel and accommodations are required, they will be provided by HumRRO. You will be given an honorarium of $100 for each workshop attended. (Most people will attend only one workshop.)
