Duties: Provide direct services to visually impaired students, consult with staff, conduct evaluations, write reports, attend staffings and IEP meetings, write IEPs consult with parents, interface with community agency providers, attend staff meetings, attend training, collaborate with other professionals, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: BA or BS degee or higher. Experience with teaching students with visual impairments preferred. Must have knowlege in functional vision and learning media evaluations. Must be able to teach Braille and knowledgeable of assistive technolgy and software appropriate for students who are VI. Must be able to work well with a team of other VI professionals, as well as work well with parents. Must have good time management and organizational skills.
