Duties: Supervises all daily aspects for day-to-day operations of the OLB Rehab Dept. Oversees planning and implementation of social/recreational activities. Participates in public education and public relations programs. Assists the President/CEO in administrative duties such as developing strategic goals, developing and monitoring a budget, monthly reports and ensuring ongoing compliance to set standards. Provides individual client evaluation and instruction in all aspects of rehab teaching. Maintains rehab follow-up program for active and inactive clients. Dispenses and maintains rehab equipment and instructs in the proper use thereof. Assists in provision of social services as needed. Provides public education on blindness issues and all aspects of OLB services.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or Blind Rehab, Rehab Teaching, or related field. Education or related degree in the business field. Strong leadership skills or three years supervisory experience. Two years experience in rehab teaching preferred. Must be ACVREP certifiable.
